Unusual Dog Toys
Dogs love toys. Actually, dogs love just about everything. Sticks, rocks, other animals, you name it. It doesn't take much to make a dog the happiest creature in the universe. The only problem is that even dogs will get bored of a particular toy after a while. How many times can you throw a ball and have it returned before your dog refuses to fetch it anymore. It's a good idea to mix up the traditional toys with some that are a bit more unusual. Not only will this please your dog a great deal but it can be a fun experience for you and those watching as well!
Some of the most common types of unusual dog toys are balls that make noise and light up. Some of them even come with remote controls so you can hide the ball, press a button, and watch your dog sniff it out as it's making sounds like a duck. The noisemaking balls are great fun for outside but can quickly get annoying if you have a couple of dogs and a couple of kids. The light up balls are more suited for indoor use because they are quiet. These balls are typically made of hard plastic and coated with a tough rubberized material so they last for a long time.
Some unusual dog toys are based on your dogs amazing sense of smell. One of my favorites is the bacon scented bubbles. This toy comes with a little gun and some bubble liquid that smells a lot like bacon. Dogs will have a lot of fun chasing these bubbles and they love to jump up and bite them. Be careful around little kids because they will probably be knocked over.
When you are choosing an unusual dog toy you will need to consider a few things such as the age and size of your dog. A great dane won't have as much fun with a tiny motorized ball as a chihuahua might and that chihuahua will not be strong enough to lug around a giant piece of rubber. Dogs have their own personal preference too so you may have to buy a couple toys and let your dog decide which one they like the best.
